Top Eastern drivers challenged the "Best in the West" in October, 1961.  Pro F-Jr events were held in conjunction with the "L.A. Times Grand Prix" at Riverside and the "Pacific Grand Prix" at Laguna Seca.
 

Two ace East Coast professionals have a "moment" at Laguna Seca, Oct. 21-22, 1961. Walt Hansgen gets sideways in front of Roger Penske.  They avoided a collision. Both are in Cooper F-Jrs.
