Ed Freutel -- MG Special

Freutel had a long career in Southern California racing.  Can anyone verify that this photo was shot at Santa Barbara in 1954?   Please email me!

"This is Freutel in the MG powered ex- Barlow Simca Special #1.  It is Santa Barbara but it could be May, 1955." 

(10-23-08)   From racing historian Ron Cummings:

"I can not verify the year but that is the Santa Barbara races at the Goleta airport. The car is the first Barlow Simca Special then being raced with an MG motor.   Frank Monise and Freutel both drove the car while Freutel owned it."
