The last of the Scarabs had a spectacular post-Reventlow career.  John Mecom bought the car from Reventlow and entered it in the 1963 west coast pro races with A.J. Foyt driving.  In 1965 Walt Hansgen drove the car with Chevy power at the Riverside USRRC event.
 
 

Hansgen DNF'd at Riverside. Augie Pabst bought the car from Mecom and converted it to street use.  As of March, 2005 he still owns the car and occasionally appears with it at midwest historic events.
