Racing Devins -- 3  (Ak Miller's Devin-Chevrolet)

Devin-VW owner Kreg Jones has started a new Devin Registry and contributed these photos to the website.

From historian Ron Cummings:   "Bobby Unser drove the car in practice for the first Los Angeles Times GP at Riverside, 1958.  Bobby ended up driving the Caballo II, with a
Oldsmobile motor replacing the Chrysler, instead of the Devin-bodied car. Ak started the Times GP with the Devin-bodied car."

More from historian Ron Cummings: "The car is Ak Miller's first of five Devin bodied specials.  This car was Chevrolet powered."

More from Ron:  "This photo is from the movie "Roadracers".  During that movie, the car was driven by Jerry Unser and Ak.  Ak was bigger than both Bobby and Jerry.   This photo is definitely Ak, I can tell by his size and the helmet."  (Movie poster)
