Chuck Parsons -- 2

Parsons sold his Maserati "Birdcage" to Dan Prades after the 1961 Pacific Grand Prix.  The amateur Prades competed sporadicially in the car until 1963.

Parsons bought a Cooper F-Jr. and won the race for that class at Riverside on March 3-4, 1962.

At the Laguna Seca hosted USRRC event on June 8-9, 1963, Monterey hometown driver Parsons appeared in Randy Hilton's 1600cc. Lotus Mk.23.

He won the race overall, beating or outlasting Jerry Grant, Dave Ridenour, Skip Hudson, Don Wester, and others.
 


Parsons went on to bigger things, campaigning a Cobra successfully in 1964, a Genie in 1965, then won the USRRC title in 1966 driving a McLaren.
