Group 3A:  Bob Lytle -- 1953 Allard J2X-Cadillac / C-Jaguar
 
 
Bob Lytle's 6572cc. Cadillac-powered 1953 Allard J2X leads one of the three C-Type Jaguars entered this year. Bill Pollack won repeatedly on the west coast in the early 1950s in a car similar to Lytle's.  Pollack's triumphs in Tom Carsten-owned  "big black Allard" #14 are recounted in detail in Michael T. Lynch's fine article in this year's "Monterey Historics" event program.
