|Longtime aficionado of PreWar Grand
Prix Cars, Peter Giddings of Alamo, CA romped to an easy
win with his 3000cc. 1935 Alfa Romeo 8C.
|Historian David Seielstad on the Alfa:
"Gidding's Alfa (Tipo C) is an 8C35 serial
50013. Ex-Scuderia Ferrari, then sold to Hans Ruesch and won the
1936 Donnington with Dick Seaman co-driving."

slower contenders in the "esses" at Infineon Raceway, always to be remembered
as "Sears Point" by race fans.
