Cool and relaxed behind the wheel, Carroll Shelby in J. Frank Harrison's Maserati Type 61 "Birdcage" #2467.  He finished 5th. Earlier in 1960, Shelby won the "L.A. Examiner" Grand Prix in Camoradi-entered Birdcage #2458.

Former Scarab driver Chuck Daigh drove this Lister-Jaguar for Briggs Cunningham at Riverside. He failed to qualify against the world class field assembled for the event.
