These revolutionary cars debuted at the second 1966 CanAm event, held at Bridgehampton on Sept.18. Phil Hill finished fourth in this race and team leader Jim Hall was a non-starter.
 
 

Hall finished 2nd to John Surtees Lola T70-Chevy at Riverside on Oct. 30, 1966 while Hill was an early DNF.  Two weeks earlier Hill won the CanAm event at Laguna Seca with Hall 2nd.
