Surtees' teammate Graham Hill drove a steady race and finished 3rd in the 1966 "L.A. Times Grand Prix".
 
 

Lola T70s were a mainstay of the early years of the CanAm.  Beautiful and well-designed cars, they were contenders until vertiginous CanAm evolution led by Chaparral & McLaren left them behind.  Later Lola models didn't match the T70's impact on the series.
