1938 Alfa Romeo Tipo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta
 
 
This Alfa Romeo, entered by Miles Collier of Naples, FL, won Class J-1 (European Classic 1925-1939 Closed) at this year's Concours. 

Your webmaster was baffled by the solid disk wheels on the car in Carmel, while the class winner shown runs on wire wheels:   Were two grey Alfas entered?  The ID plate: (not shown in this photo) is 15952·BS  proved that the cars were one and the same and that the disc wheels were used on the tour.
