Jack Brabham

won the "L.A. Times Grand Prix" held at Riverside Raceway on Oct. 15, 1961 in this Cooper Monaco owned by Texan Hap Sharp.  Fellow Cooper factory driver Bruce McLaren in another Cooper Monaco finished 2nd.

A week later, Brabham finished 3rd at Laguna Seca behind winner Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney's Lotus Mk.19s.  Here, he laps George Koehne's Birdcage Maserati #2456.
