"I don't know if you remember that Hap
Richardson used to drive with a big fat stogie in his mouth in his Jag.
I have always lamented that I never took a picture of him. I remember standing
in the stands between (old) turn 9 and the start finish watching him and
wishing I had my camera with me.

My friend Marion Carter whom you have
met at the vintage races with me used to help in the pits with Hap. He
is visiting his girl friend in Colorado now but I will get him to write
up something about Hap. Marion used to write a local sports car column
for a newspaper in San Diego in those days.
