while Bob Bondurant (!) chases them in
the #19 Morgan. Bondurant DNF'd.

"Doc Eschrich's Lotus was running the ex-James Dean 550 Spyder
motor in the front bolted up to an MG gearbox. Bill Kreuger's dad
did the installation. The damn thing used to beat 550 Spyders. Eschrich
called the Porsche-powered Lotus Mk.9 the "Potus!!" |
