3B: Richard Griot -- 1964 Webster Special (page)
Another shot available
from the infield at Turn 9 is this one looking up-course toward Laguna
Seca's Turn 8A and the famous "corkscrew". Cars here take an aggressive
stance as they squat down under power accelerating out of the steeply downhill
corner.
This isn't a shot for
bright August mornings, though -- the
sun will be behind and to the right of the car. In this picture
I still had diffused light from the morning fog and enjoyed freedom from
the tyranny of sun angles. |
