Paul Brown of Covina, CA, won the race in Tom Hollfelder's 5359cc. 1962 ex-"Meister Brauser" Chaparral 1.  This event featured three of the Troutman-Barnes/Jim Hall front-engined early Chaparrals.

Three years ago Brown finished 2nd to Brian Redman's Scarab in another showdown featuring three super high-end, front-engined, Chevrolet-powered, American-built sports/racers.
