More Sports/Racers 2

This year's entry in what used to be called the "Modified" classes was maybe the best ever at the "Monterey Historics".  Besides the dominant Scarabs & Chaparral there were:  5 Listers, 3 D-Jags, 2 "Birdcage" Maseratis, 3 Devins, 2 "Echidnas" (I missed photographing them), 2 Ferraris Testa Rossas plus the unique Ferrari 335S #0764, and more!   Click on thumbnails below to see larger images.

 
Steven Read in his 1957 Maserati 300S.  Andy Porterfield in Mark Brinker's 1958 Devin SS.  Porterfield campaigned this car in the early 1960s.
Myron Cottrell in the ex-Ray Crawford, ex-Hugh Harn Kurtis 500X-Chevrolet. The Porter Mercedes Special.  Returned to 300-SL power...
Andy Porterfield's 1958 Devin-Chevy leads John Harden's 1958 Lister-Chevy through Turn 9. Don Orosco's 1960 Maserati Type 61 "Birdcage".  Too bad it wasn't out on the track!
