Robert Manson drove the 4490 cc. 1952 "Schaghticoke" Manning Special in Group 2.  This veteran sports/racer, powered by a flathead Mercury V8 with a displacement of 4588cc, was built in 1952 by Wally Chapman of Schaghticote, NY, from blueprints supplied by Chuck Manning.
