From Pete Lyons' "Can-Am" pg.175:   "Then, on the twenty-seventh lap at the corkscrew, Dave Causey's Lola T222 came across in front of the [David Hobbs'] Ti22.  They collided, and both went weaving and spinning off the road in clouds of dust.  Hobbs collected himself and drove away quickly, but the Lola had gone into a spectator area, struck a parked car, and injured some people.  Causey climbed out unharmed.  Moments later, the wreckage burst into flame".
