85.
At Indianapolis corner Reeves catches a much slower, odd-looking very small DB PANHARD coupe. In the rain and mist, there's no apparent way he can avoid hitting it. He cuts the wheel hard, hits the
brakes, and spins out on the dark, wet slippery pavement.
EXT. INDIANAPOLIS CORNER - NIGHT Reeves spins to a stop. The little blue 2-cylinder Panhard putters away. The Ferrari sits in the middle of the course. A third car hurtles out of the mist. Its driver spins out avoiding Reeves. This third car is Marburg's Porsche RS61. The German scowls at Reeves. Reeves accelerates away in a cloud of spray. Marburg charges after him.
MARBURG'S POV He catches Reeves and follows him
closely. He bumps the Ferrari —— once, twice, three times.
REEVES' POV Jolted, he sees the Porsche behind him. Marburg's high-powered driving lights glare blindingly in his mirrors. Reeves sees purple after-images in his vision, but drives on through the rain. He repasses the Panhard and other stragglers. Marburg bumps Reeves hard, trying to knock him off the slippery course. Reeves moves away. Another set of headlights appears
in his mirror.
EXT. WHITE HOUSE CORNER - NIGHT Rick catches Reeves and Marburg. He passes both accelerating out
of the corner.
