Turn 9

This photo was taken about in the middle of Turn 9.  The white wall in the right/center ran along the  straight leading to Start/Finish and Turn 1.

What about the hills in the b.g.?  What's our orientation here?

"The picture is looking North toward Boxsprings Mountain Park. Those hills are the only ones high and near enough to be that prominent in the picture. Looking carefully, you can see what appears to be a tower atop the mountain. That's probably Boxsprings (fire) Lookout."
