Shirley finished 12th in his 2953cc. car.  This is #0666, the original prototype Testa Rossa; the car campaigned in Northern California 1959-62 by Rod Carveth.

Shirley painted the car as it appeared for the 1958 LeMans 24 hour race where it was entered by Luigi Chinetti and driven by the all-California team of Dan Gurney and Bruce Kessler.  The car DNF'd due to an accident.
