Beattie, of Yorba Linda, CA, finished 20th in his 5358cc. wide-bodied car.  I can't recall seeing a McLaren Can-Am car with the Porsche-turbo like "Whale Tail" before.  3rd place finisher Malloy, of Villa Park, CA, had the displacement advantage here with his enormous 8095cc. engine.
