The least successful of the Chaparrals.  Designer Jim Hall, seriously injured in his career-ending accident at the Stardust Raceway CanAm race in Nov. '68, couldn't develop this car by driving it himself as he had done with the other Chaparrals.  Hired gun Surtees was never comfortable in it.
