"Looking at Martn Hill's pictures you added these past few days you caption Dan Gurney as driving a Fairlane at Riverside. I believe this to be incorrect, I think his car is a Bud Moore prepared Mercury. 

Gurney made a habit of winning this Riverside NASCAR race, winning it 5 times in the 1960's, always with the legendary Wood Brothers as his pit crew. The '67 race, however, was not to be one of his winning years, he did not have the Wood Bros as crew and finished a lowly 14th."
