| This is the Mustang as reinterpreted by Giorgetto
Giugiaro, his son Fabrizio, and the Ital-
Design works in Turin, Italy. A high-end mix of American muscle
and Italian design, it has a horse-hide interior, a glass roof, carbon-fiber
fenders, and electrically operated scissor doors.
Giugiaro contracted the body panels tight around the mechanicals
of the car, reduced the rear overhang, and widened the car 1.2 inches (front)
and 3.1 inches (rear).
The Giugiaro
Mustang has top-of-the-line Ford performance extras, too. The 4.6-liter
V8 with its intercooled, twin-screw supercharger and Ford GT
fuel injectors pumps out an estimated 500 bhp. For race-bred handling,
Ford's Racing Division provided new dampers, springs, and anti-roll bars. |
