Gilbert finished 6th in this hybrid car with a fascinating history. 

It started its racing life as a rebodied Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Prix car; then it was separated from this beautiful Jack Sutton-crafted custom bodywork when the Talbot chassis was restored to its Grand Prix configuration. 

The surviving Sutton body was eventually joined to a chassis custom-made by car builder Jack Hagemann and  the result is this spectacular sports/racer.
