| The ex-Pat
Bryan Monza Today
For the 1963 season Bryan
installed Chevy power in the Monza #0538M.
It was faster, but still not fast enough to challenge for overall wins.
| Bryan
at Riverside in June, 1963. At least he didn't modify the body.
The V8 engined Monza ran
mid-pack. |

| Website visitor Bob Parks
remembers Pat Bryan:
"Just a little info.
When I was 14 I remember meeting Pat in a garage on the alley behind a
house on Rinaldi St. in Granada Hills, CA. They were putting
the Chevy motor in the car at the time. I think it had Manafre 4x2's
(?? TM) and Bryan was nice guy. I always wondered who he was and
the history of the car. Thanks for your website." Bob Parks
Bob describes the "Manafre
4x2": (11-29-04)
"The Manafre induction
setup was made by a company I believe was in the San Fernando valley and
it used four modified Rochester 2- bbl carbs on custom manifold with the
carbs over the intake ports. See this item on eBay." |

The beautiful car was
restored by David Smith and won its class at the Pebble Beach Concours
in the mid-1990s.
It's now owned by Todd
Morici, who races it in the Ferrari Historic Challenge Series.
Thanks to Bryan Phillips
for the update on this significant car! |
