Action in Riverside's Turn 6 during the "L.A. Times Grand Prix" on Oct. 15, 1961. Ken Miles in #9, a 1700cc. Porsche RS61, makes an inside move on George Constantine in his unhealthy Ferrari 250TR. Miles qualified 2nd in the Under Two-Liter class at 2:09.8, and finished 7th overall and 2nd in class behind Olivier Gendebein in his 2-liter Lotus Mk.19. Miles was only 27 seconds behind the top-qualifying Lotus at the end of the 203 mile race.
