"Race 8 Pomona 1957 (19 January) with Carroll Shelby : did not finish. Owned by Edgar.  I'm not sure and I'm going to prove."

"I agree that the Shelby Ferrari photo was taken at Pomona and 1957 seems right.  I think that was the year of the big rain. Shelby went into the trees and was dnf on Saturday. Ken Miles put the von Neumann Porsche 550 into the snow fence near us but I think no one was seriously hurt."
