From Bob Engberg:   "The remains of 216.  However, its story was to continue when a Lotus guru in UK wrote Chuck a nice letter in the 1980s asking about his car.  Chuck told him about the Lotus and what happened to it.  A few years later Lotus #216 magically reappeared in England and even ran at the Monterey Historics.  A letter or two from Chuck and myself made it clear that the new car was a fake, and I believe the fabricator was even kicked out of the Historic Lotus Registry for this and some other malfeasance. The car was renumbered “2116” and is still around somewhere.  Chuck has the chassis plate and some few parts left of the real 216."
