William K. (Bill) Stewart Esq. was Gordon & Eleanor's attorney for decades.

In 1994, he organized a "Living Memorial" for Gordon at the original "Doc Rickett's Lab" on Cannery Row.

This gathering of  Monterey Peninsula "Longtimers" honored Gordon while he was still young enough (88) to enjoy it.
 
This lively lady was, I think, Gordon Newell's sister.
