Porter unloads his beautiful car early in its career.  At this point it still retains its original, unsupercharged Mercedes-Benz 300SL 6 cylinder fuel-injected engine.  The car was restored to this configuration by Dr. Klaus Lehr, its German current owner.

Porter finished 8th o.a. and 2nd (behind Harrison Evans) in Class "D" Modified.
